Hugh Quarshie is a Ghanaian-born British actor of screen and stage.

Hugh is known for his long-running role as Ric Griffin on the BBC One medical drama Holby City, for his performance as grieving father Neville Lawrence in The Murder of Stephen Lawrence and Stephen (2023) and for playing Captain Panaka in Star Wars Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1990).

Hugh was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Letters by the University of East Anglia in 2017, for outstanding accomplishment in his field.
